IF YOUR MESSAGE WAS INTENDED AS ADVERTISING, IT MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW [Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991, and Collateral Code of Federal Regulations (47 CFR 64.1200)].

Legal notice:

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA), and collateral Code of Federal Regulations (47 CFR 64.1200) define an unsolicited advertisement sent via FAX as the equivalent same sent by E-Mail. To wit:

If your computer has
 * a modem connected to a regular telephone line, and
 * a printer connected to that computer,
unsolicited advertising sent via e-mail to that equipment is considered (by definition of law) as sent to a FAX. The TCPA allows a private right of action against the sender of such unsolicted advertising. The recipient can sue for $500, or actual damages (whichever is greater).

A complaint has been sent to the postmaster of your internet provider.

In addition, a complaint has been lodged with CompuServe Customer Service. If you have used Compuserve to obtain email addresses for the purpose of sending unsolicited mail, you are in violation of the terms of service for your account. If you are sending this from a Compuserve account, you are seriously risking *your* access to Compuserve, as sending unsolicited email is against the terms of service *you* agreed to when opening your account.

If I have been able to pinpoint the forum in which you culled my email address, a complaint has also been sent to that Forum Administrator. All Forums enforce the Compuserve Terms of Service regarding unsolicited email. You may very well find yourself locked out of the forums in which you've committed that offense.
